Production Hall for Wind Power Stations / New Construction
As part of a world-wide network, a new facility for the production of components for wind power stations was built in Nuremberg. The production encompasses the mechanical fabrication of drive components, their assembly and subsequent testing of the drive mechanism. The drives weigh 20 to 50 tons. The new production hall features a column grid of 12.00m x 27.00m bays. Cranes can therefore drive into position anywhere within the hall. Other areas include a heat-treatment shop, delivery and shipment areas and administrative offices. For the new construction, 50% of the old production building was torn down and the technical infrastructure was completely rebuilt.
