Conversion of a former furniture store – MySpacePlus
Self-storage space, co-working space and artists’ studios
As part of a conversion, a completely new space concept is being realised in the former Werner furniture store in Dianastraße Nuremberg. With the creation of storage areas, modular rental spaces from 1.5m² will be offered. A partial area on the ground floor and 1st floor will be converted into attractive co-working space. On the 2nd and 3rd floors, space is also reserved for artists who can operate their studios here.
The aim of the concept is to minimise the amount of grey energy, i.e. the primary energy that has to be used to construct a building, by preserving the building fabric and using a resource-saving construction method. The roof surfaces are equipped with a comprehensive photovoltaic system, which also makes a significant contribution to minimising the need for primary energy and thus CO² emissions.
